Swiss operation
Threema runs its services on its own servers in Switzerland, in ISO 27001-certified Zurich data centers.
Minimal data
Messages are end-to-end encrypted and deleted from the server once delivered; contacts stay on the device.
No phone number needed
Users are identified by a random Threema ID, so a phone number or email address is optional.
